Key features

The SSDNow V Series are 2.5″ drives and come in variants designed either for PCs or laptops. There are 64GB and 128GB versions available – to work out what that is in terms of your music, photos and videos, check out our helpful piece on storage capacities.

The V Series comes with all the usual benefits of an SSD drive: speed, reliability, silence, cool operation and for notebooks better battery life. Here’s a quick rundown on the vitals, check out the Kingston Technology website for a full data sheet:

• Speed: Up to 100MB/sec read and 80MB/sec write¹
• Capacity²: Available in 64GB and 128GB models
• Power consumption: 128GB – 2.5W (typ) while active, 0.45W (typ) during sleep
  64GB – 2.0W (typ) while active, 0.45W (typ) during sleep.
• Life expectancy: 1 million hours mean time before failure.
