Kingston Technology sets sights on MINI World Record

27/08/2009

What’s small, but has a large capacity? Two things: MINIs and Kingston Technology SDHC memory cards.

This month, Kingston Technology is teaming up with Currys in an attempt to break the World Record for the number of people that can fit into a MINI. The squeeze will be taking place at the Currys Megastore® in Wednesbury on the 29th August, at an event hosted by radio station BRMB’s Tim Lichfield and the Thunder Team. It promises to be a fun-filled experience for the whole family.

On the day, there’ll be a chance to win a £2500 holiday! There’ll be lots of other prizes to be given away on the day as well. Goody bags worth £100 will also be given out at the event.

The current MINI Word Record stands at 24 people. Kingston Technology hopes its expertise in creating tiny memory cards with tonnes of storage space will give it the edge it needs to break the record. Public participation in the attempt will be encouraged too, if you’re feeling flexible. To get the most out of the day, be sure to bring your camera along to capture the hilarity of the record breaking attempt.

If you’re worried about how many pictures of a people-filled MINI will fit onto your card, then Kingston Technology’s SDHC cards may be the answer.

SDHC stands for Secure Digital High Capacity. An SDHC card can hold more content than a normal SD card, meaning you can take loads more photos and not have to worry about deleting old ones. In fact, SDHC cards are so big that there’s room for lots of video too. Many cameras support SDHC, but you should check your user manual to make sure your camera can indeed use them.

The Currys Megastore can be found at Junction 9 of the M6. Be there on the 29th August between 11am and 3pm to cactch the fun and games, and some great deals on Kingston products.
