Kingston Technology joins in 200mph Blind Land Speed Attempt

14/10/2009

Mike is a Bank Manager from Manchester who also happens to hold the Blind Solo Land Speed Record, but the 178.5mph record just isn’t enough for him…

Mr. Newman and his team, Speed of Sight, are intent on shattering that record by speeding past the 200mph mark.

He will be making the attempt with the help of Kingston Technology and the Vision Charity, taking the wheel of 2000 BHP Keating TKR super car with a top speed of over 270mph.

Mike recently became a patron of the Vision Charity, joining the ranks of celebrities such as Melanie Sykes, Nicholas Parsons and Katie Price. Kingston Technology supports the charity with special product ranges, available in PC World and Currys, from which a percentage of the sales is donated. Look out for the special Vision Charity sticker on these products!

We’d like to congratulate Mike in his efforts so far and for supporting the Vision Charity. We hope that the team will be able to make their record breaking attempt soon! Remember Kingston will be keeping you up do date on the team’s progress, so check back soon!
