Kingston Technology supports The Vision Charity with limited edition product line

02/09/2009

Over two million people in the UK have significant sight loss, including 25,000 children. Here at Kingston Technology we’re committed to helping those who are suffering from visual impairment, and don’t have the luxury of looking at photographs to keep their memories alive.

We have produced a line of Vision Charity Limited Edition products, which can be found in PC World, Currys and Currys Digital. 25 pence of every sale of a Kingston Ultimate or Kingston Elite Pro product will be donated to the Vision Charity.

The Vision Charity, established in 1975, raises the urgent funds required to provide equipment, goods, and services for visually impaired children. Every penny donated by Kingston Technology goes towards supporting the children, whether that is by providing them with minibuses, supplying schools with specialist computers, or building accommodation for blind children in Sierra Lione. As Larry Davis, Executive Director of the Vision Charity, stated: “improving the quality of their lives is a gift.”

We’re proud of our involvement with The Vision Charity. Paul Leaman, Director of Retail Europe for Kingston Technology, said that “this is a fantastic opportunity for us to do something that will positively affect the lives of others. The Vision Charity is a wonderful organisation that makes a huge difference to the lives of children in the UK and we wanted to be a part of that.”

So next time that you’re thinking about a memory upgrade, why not opt for a Vision Charity Limited Edition product and help make a difference to a child’s life?
